What if the pet owner cancels the booking?

Pet owner needs a valid reason to cancel the booking and must prove it to Host My Pet team. When listing your services, you can also choose your cancellation policies. In Daycare, Dog Walking and Home Visit services the cancellation policy is always set to flexible. In Pet Boarding (overnight) service you can choose your cancellation policy from flexible, moderate and strict.

The pet owner pays for the booking once it is confirmed. Our cancellation policies are as follows:

  • Flexible: The pet owner will get a full refund if they cancel the booking 1 day (24 hours) before the service starts. After that, they get 50% of the funds and the pet sitter gets the other 50 %.
  • Moderate: The pet owner will get a full refund if they cancel the booking 3 days before the service starts. After that, they get 50% of the funds and the pet sitter gets the other 50 %.
  • Strict: The pet owner will get a full refund if they cancel the booking 7 days before the service starts. After that, they get 50% of the funds and the pet sitter gets the other 50 %.
