You can always reject a booking request you receive. If your rejection is due to doubts or worries, we encourage you to message the pet owner before rejecting the request, so they can answer your questions. If you want to cancel an already confirmed booking, you cannot do it by yourself.
We want to create a trustworthy community with reliable sitters and take cancellations very seriously. After the booking is confirmed, pet owner relies on you to take care of their pet and they start building their personal plans. Thus, we kindly ask you to make sure you can provide the service before accepting the booking request.
To cancel a confirmed booking you must contact Host My Pet team at [email protected] and explain us the precise reason for your cancellation. Please do this as soon as you can, preferably at least a week beforehand, to give the pet owner enough time to find another sitter. We will fully refund the pet owner and our team will help them find another pet sitter.
We understand that sometimes things happen unexpectedly, but in order to secure our community, we take cancellations very seriously. Last minute cancellations from a sitter without a sufficient explanation will lead to a warning for the first time and to a permanent deactivation of the account the second time.
